We act as the data controller under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). We process your data only for the purposes stated here and only as far as the law permits.

We process the following data when you use the app:

• App-specific anonymous device session and user identifier created on first launch (own backend, JWT)
• Account identifiers: name and email shared during Google or Apple sign-in (own backend, JWT)
• Teacher profile: name, school, subjects and timetable (synced to our own backend)
• Prompt and generated response in premium AI features (transient Google Gemini processing; our database retains only a daily usage count)
• Purchase history, subscription status, app-specific user identifier, and technical device information (RevenueCat)
• Anonymous usage statistics (own backend MetricEvent)
• Crash and error reports, sanitized of personal data before storage (own backend)
• PDF download history (own backend)

Every category we collect supports a specific feature we provide. We do not collect data we do not need.

• To deliver features like curriculum plans, content standards and the class timetable
• To create and manage your account
• To power KSQ and BSQ exams, grade calculation, MIQ practice and official document generation
• To send timetable reminder notifications (only with your permission)
• To manage your subscription and verify purchases
• To process the request you send to premium AI features and generate a response
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse

Sign in with Google: When you choose it, Google authenticates you and provides basic profile information (name, email, and Google account ID), used only to create your account and sign you in.

Sign in with Apple: When you choose it, Apple authenticates you and passes a unique user identifier and, if you share them, your name and email. If you use Hide My Email, we never see your real email.

Our own servers (backend): On first launch the app creates an app-specific anonymous device session; Google or Apple sign-in is optional. Your teacher profile, timetable and content are stored on our secure servers for synchronization and protected by JWT authorization.

Google Gemini: The topic, question, or text you enter in a premium AI feature is sent to the Google Gemini API only through our backend to generate a response. We do not permanently store the prompt or generated response in our database; we retain only a per-account daily usage count. Do not enter personal or confidential data.

RevenueCat (subscription infrastructure): Used to manage subscriptions and purchases. It processes purchase history, App Store/Google Play transaction information, an app-specific user identifier, and technical device information required to provide the service. Payments are handled by the store; neither we nor RevenueCat can access your card details.

Analytics and crash reporting: To understand how the app is used, we collect anonymous usage statistics (MetricEvent) on our own servers. Crash and error reports are stored on our own servers and are sanitized of personal data before storage. We do not use any third-party analytics SDK.

Notifications: Timetable reminders are shown as local notifications on your device. Notifications work only if you allow them and can be turned off anytime in device settings.

Our app does not show ads.

Metodist offers auto-renewable subscriptions. When you buy a subscription, the following applies:

• Plan and price: Monthly and yearly premium plans are offered. The amount and currency are fetched live from the App Store or Google Play for your storefront and shown on the purchase screen.
• No-card preview: The three-day premium preview that starts on first launch is not a store subscription, asks for no payment method, and cannot create an automatic charge when it ends.
• Store trial: If a store plan separately includes a free trial, its duration and subsequent localized price are shown from the store on the purchase screen. A store subscription starts only if you confirm that offer.
• Payment: The charge is applied to your App Store or Google Play account when the purchase is confirmed.
• Auto-renewal: The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time; it takes effect at the end of the current period. iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Android: Google Play > Subscriptions.
• Promo codes: You can redeem gift and discount promo codes from the in-app redeem screen.

Some of our service providers (for example Google, Apple, RevenueCat) may store data on servers abroad (USA, EU countries). In those cases we apply the safeguards required by Article 9 of KVKK, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

We keep your data only as long as needed for the processing purpose and within the retention periods required by law. When you delete your account, all related personal data is permanently deleted, except data we must retain to meet legal obligations.

Under Article 11 of KVKK you may learn whether your data is processed, request information, request correction, deletion, or destruction, learn the third parties to whom it was transferred, and claim compensation for unlawful processing.

In-app controls: You can delete your account and data from inside the app. You can manage notification permissions in device settings.

You have full control over your data. You can delete your account and all related personal data in one of two ways.

From inside the app: Go to the Profile section and follow the Delete Account step, then confirm.

Without the app (via the web): If you have uninstalled the app or cannot reach the in-app option, submit a deletion request at metodist.motivexintelligence.com/delete-account. After we verify your request, we permanently delete your account and related data within 30 days at the latest.

After deletion: All personal data tied to your account is deleted. Only data we are legally required to keep is retained for the period required by law and then deleted.

Our app is intended for teachers and a general audience; we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (16 in the EU). If you become aware that a child provided us data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it as soon as possible.

Our company is based in Turkey, and the app is aimed mainly at teachers in Azerbaijan. For EU users, GDPR rights also apply: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. We do not sell your personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we notify you in-app and revise the effective date. The current version is always published at metodist.motivexintelligence.com/privacy.
